Actor Rimi Sen Duped Of Rs 4.14 Crore By Mumbai-Based Businessman, FIR Filed

Former Bigg Boss contestant Rimi Sen recently alleged that she was duped by a businessman based in the Goregaon area of Mumbai. She went on the accuse the businessman of duping her of Rs 4.14 crores. the actor has registered the First Information Report with the Khar Police Station.

The name of the accused, according to the FIR is Raunak Jatin Vyas. As per the complaint, Sen met Vyas at a gym in 2019, where he first befriended her and then told her that he was making investments through his family firm, Fomingo Beverages.

Over the course of a few months, the two became friends and they discussed investment prospects and then closed the deal on Vyas becoming her business partner. Sen alleged that she then received a check of Rs 3.50 crores from the accused at that time as security.

After receiving the security amount, she made a transfer of Rs 4 crores to him. This was made through her production house with the promise of 40 percent returns. However, the actor did not get her money back within the time frame promised by Vyas. Moreover, out of all the claims and the four crores transfer, she only got a return amount of Rs 3 lakhs.

Since the accused failed to pay her, Sen decided to deposit the check given by the businessman. This is when she came to know that the bank account was closed and that Vyas never started the said business project.

After coming to know this, the actor decided to report the matter to the police. An FIR was registered with the Khar Police Station, following which Vyas was charged under sections 409 (breach of trust) and 420 (cheating) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The media reports that the police are yet to nab the accused and the search for him is underway.

Rimi Sen, best known for her role in the Dhoom feature film series,  was recently in the news for her comeback with a music video. The ETimes reported the shoot for the music video has not started yet, but it has been confirmed that Sen will be collaborating with producer Prerna Arora for the project.
