Ponniyin Selvan 2

Manirathnam’s magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan 2, despite having some contrasting scenes from Kalki's Ponniyin Selvan (novel), is undeniably a pride of Tamil cinema. With Nandhini (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) and the Pandyas plotting for the downfall of the Cholas, Ponniyin Selvan 2 narrates how the Chola heir Arunmozhi Varman (Jayam Ravi), his brother Aditya Karikalan (Vikram), and his sister Kundavai (Trisha) protect their empire. Book lovers might have a tiff with the film, but for those who haven’t read the book, PS2 will motivate you to grab your copy.
