In his first interview following the engagement, he discussed turning 37 soon, emphasising that it felt like the opportune time to take this step, aiming not to postpone things until a much later age, like 45. Acknowledging his parents' anticipation, particularly his mother's long-held desire for this, he highlighted the significance of meeting the right person at the right phase of life. Expressing genuine happiness and gratitude, he mentioned the importance of recognising the moment when it feels right, emphasising the blend of emotions and practicality in decision-making.

The couple hasn't confirmed specific details about their wedding day, but the actor expressed their eagerness to progress to the next stage in their relationship shortly.

Previously, there were speculations about Tanuj's relationship with his Code M co-star, Jennifer Winget, which both actors had dismissed. In an earlier interview with Spotboye, they shared a lighthearted moment and disclosed their initial reactions upon hearing such rumours. 

He revealed how they shared a laugh over the phone as they found themselves holidaying in separate parts of the world during Christmas and New Year's. Reflecting on the rumours, they joked about how people tend to combine unrelated things and create a bigger story out of them.
