The highly-anticipated film The Matrix: Resurrections is going to release in theatres on December 22. While the film has been a fan favourite for years, Indians have a new reason to enjoy the fourth film of the franchise, Priyanka Chopra.

The makers released the trailer of the film earlier along with posters of individual characters but they did not reveal much details. Fans have been curious about the Priyanka Chopra's role in the film and some reports seem to have revealed the mystery.
In the Korean poster of the film, Chopra's character was called Sati in the local language.

The daughter of Rama-Kandra and Kamala, Sati is said to play a significant role in the future of human kind and the Machines in the Matrix universe. She was not actually born but created without purpose by Rama-Kandra and Kamala. She was then smuggled into the Matrix and it was the Oracle who protected her.
In the trailer of Matrix 4, Chopra's character is seen conversing with Keanu Reeve's character Neo. The viewers are curious to know how Sati's character will be handled in the upcoming since she was dear to the Oracle.
Priyanka Chopra was reported to be shooting the film in Germany for a long time. Her addition in the fan-favourite sci-fi film is said to give her an even bigger platform among the audience.

The first Matrix film released in 1999 and became a solid pop-culture reference. The concept of alternate reality which imagines that humans are actually not living but functioning as per the Matrix commands. The franchise soon came with a second and third film together in 2003 and the fourth one is finally coming this month.
Apart from Priyanka Chopra, the other new actors cast in the film are, Carrie-Anne Moss, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Neil Patrick Harris.
