Prithviraj Trailer

The film’s grandeur trailer has definitely made the audience more curious about how the film will unfold. The gripping trailer begins on a high note as Prithviraj Chauhan is crowned as the new king. The narration describes qualities a great king must possess and the scenes coordinate the same.

The two-minute-30-seconds-long trailer then focuses on Chillar’s Sanyogita and how she is enamoured by Prithiviraj and the subsequent doom as Muhammad Ghori announces that he wants to acquire Delhi and will kill anyone in the way. The trailer moves away from celebratory frames to focus on the war.

The film written and directed by Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi is based on an epic poem in Braj Bhasha called Prithviraj Raso. The epic poem sings praises of the king who is known for his valour and for unifying all the Rajput kings against Muhammad Ghori.

Akshay Kumar took to his social media and shared the trailer of the multilingual film. He wrote, “शौर्य और वीरता की अमर कहानी… यह है कहानी सम्राट पृथ्वीराज चौहान की । [Everlasting story of valour and bravado… This story is of King Prithviraj Chauhan!] Releasing in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The film’s shooting faced multiple delays because of the COVID-19 pandemic and is scheduled to release on June 3 in three languages—Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

The director of the film was quoted saying that he had been living with the story for two decades. “Prithviraj is my dream project. It’s a script that I have nurtured for a long, long time because of the extensive research work that was needed before I even attempted to make a film on this mighty and legendary king. To be precise, Prithviraj’s final research took about six months for me to be fully satisfied that every single fact was checked multiple times,” Dwivedi said.
