South Korean actors couple Park Shin-Hye and Choi Tae-Joon who got married earlier this year have now welcomed their first child. The couple became parents to a baby boy on Tuesday, May 31, announced Shin-Hye’s agency Salt Entertainment in a statement to Korean Media.
The actor who is popularly known for the shows The Heirs, and The Doctors reportedly gave birth to the baby at a medical facility in Seoul.
Park Shin-Hye Births Baby Boy
Shin-Hye’s agency wrote, "Actor Park Shin Hye gave birth to a healthy boy today at a hospital in Seoul. Currently, both Park Shin Hye and the baby boy are in good health and they are resting well with Choi Tae Joon and their family and friends.” The agency further added, “We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all of the people who have sent their congratulations and please continue to send your blessings and support to Park Shin Hye, Choi Tae Joon, and their baby boy.”
The two actors, reportedly, are alumni of the same university where they both majored in the Department of Theatre and Film Studies. They then starred in a cameo appearance in the drama The King of Dramas.
They, however, started dating in 2017 and made their relationship official in 2018. The couple, after courting for four years, married on January 22, 2022, in presence of friends and family in a church ceremony in Seoul. They’d announced their wedding and pregnancy in a heartfelt note on their individual pages.
“I’m very nervous to be sharing this news today, and on one hand, I’m worried that you might be very surprised by this sudden news. But I still wanted to tell all of you first. I am getting married to the person I have been in a relationship with for a long time. He has been a source of support for a long time and embraced all of the shortcomings of the person Park Shin Hye, and I would like to begin a life as a married couple with him,” Shin-Hye had written in the note and added that she was pregnant.
Park Shin-Hye was last seen in the 2021 drama Sisyphus: The Myth and Choi Tae-Joon recently had a cameo in the hit 2022 series Twenty-Five Twenty-One.
