Paris Hilton Shows Off Her Stunning $2 Billion Engagement Ring

Paris Hilton: Socialite and actor Paris Hilton recently got engaged to venture capitalist, Carter Reum.

Reum proposed to Paris after a year of dating on February 13 while the couple celebrated her birthday. The mega-carat, emerald-cut sparkler ring was designed by jeweller Jean Dousset, the descendant of famed French jeweller Louis Cartier. The huge diamond ring costs 145 billion rupees ($2 billion).

Hilton also shared a video on her YouTube channel, which gave fans a peek at the design process behind the custom ring. She claims ‘not a detail was spared’ as her fiancé Reum enlisted the finest diamond cutters, polishes and jewellers to create the ring. Reum aptly named the ring Paris, after his fiancé.

Hilton announced her engagement on February 17 and stated that Vogue that,"Our relationship is one of equals. We make each other better people. He was absolutely worth the wait!" She also shared her excitement via Instagram where she posted a tribute to her fiancé. Her tribute post was captioned with -

"When you find your soulmate, you don't just know it. You feel it. My love & I have been together since our first date, and for my birthday, he arranged a special trip to tropical paradise. As we walked to dinner along the beach, Carter led us to a cabana adorned with flowers and dropped to one knee. I said yes, yes to forever. There's no one I'd rather spend forever with.”

The emerald-cut has been a popular choice, and has been spotted on the fingers of celebrities like Jennifer Lawrence, Jennifer Lopez, Amal Clooney and Nicola Peltz.
