Panchayat Season 2 Release Schedule: Amazon Prime Video's most awaited series Panchayat is back and to the netizen's surprise, has arrived before the schedule. The series has been receiving an immense amount of appreciation ever since the season 2 trailer was unveiled.
Panchayat is back with its second season. Ever since the trailer launch, the audience is anticipating this series to break all OTT records. Starring Jitendra Kumar, Raghuvir Yadav, and Neena Gupta along with many others in significant roles, Panchayat has grabbed the attention of the masses bringing to light the realities of Phulera village from the first season. On being asked about the recurring pattern in part one of the show, Actor Jitendra Kumar stated, “Lauki is jawani ka pyaar. We used to hate it as kids, but as you grow up, you realize its value. And a homegrown one actually tastes like butter.”
Panchayat Season 2 Release Schedule: A Pleasant Surprise
Panchayat Season 2 was initially all set to have a global premiere on Prime Video on May 20 in India from 12:00 AM India Standard Time (IST). It was also scheduled for release on the same date and time across 240 countries and other territories worldwide. However, to the surprise of the audience, the show has already arrived and is available to stream on the platform, late Wednesday evening, May 18, 2022.
Revealing more about what can be expected from the show in its second season, actor Jitendra Kumar had said, “The stories of the village, its people and their trials and tribulations that we found interesting in Season 1. Those are the things you will connect with once again in the second season too.” This season also has 8 long episodes much like the previous season, delving deeper into the equation between the characters Pradhan, Vikas, Prahlad, and Manju Devi along with Abhishek. Season 2 will navigate the complexities faced by the characters in the village, as a new opposition enters Phulera, causing chaos in their lives.

Panchayat marks a successful collaboration of TVF (The Viral Fever) with Amazon Prime after the success of the show season 1 along with Hostel Daze. This comedy-drama series directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra became an instant hit when it initially premiered in 2020 with its debut season. Featuring a stellar talented star cast and a unique plotline, this series follows the life of Abhishek, played by Jitendra Kumar, an engineering graduate, whose circumstances force him to take up a job as a Panchayat secretary in a remote village, Phulera, Uttar Pradesh.
The synopsis shared by the streaming platform Amazon Prime stated- 'Season 2 of Panchayat will take the audience through the hilarious and tumultuous journey of Abhishek. After facing several hardships in adjusting to the new life and routine in the village of Phulera, Abhishek, aka, Kumar has now finally settled in the life of Phulera. The series slowly unfolds the equation between a handful of colourful characters.
