Through a video interview to ">Reuters, he also explained the processes he followed to make the final product. The Jordanian artist was seen purchasing the oranges from local market by selecting them individually. He then crushed and peeled out the skin of the fruit. It is only after this step, that he took them through different processes. As Sartawi explains in the video, "It takes around two week to make the material workable like this".

After this Omar Sartawi used a process of digital fabrication to come up with the design he wanted for the bag and later on cut it using the laser machine. This made the peels thinner in size. The thinning of the surface is done so as to not face any issue with finalisation. He plans on extracting exquisite design through the available technologies.
Sartawi has also designed face masks and tents out of the aubergine leather. He also exhibited other products made by him in the video, and is currently working on leathers of fruits and vegetables that can be used as an environment friendly material so as to turn it into luxury brands. Sartawi is using it in fashion accessories, furniture as well as high end bags.
Omar Sartawi has over 24k followers on his Instagram platform, where he shares video of the high end products developed by him and the process that goes into its making.
