NCB raids Ananya Panday home: The Narcotics Control Bureau reportedly raided the home of actor Ananya Panday on October 21. Panday, who is the daughter of Bollywood actor Chunky Pandey, made her film debut in 2019 with the film Student Of The Year 2.
According to reports, NCB has also summoned Panday for questioning at the bureau's Mumbai office at 2 PM today. Reports also suggest that NCB arrived at Shah Rukh Khan's bungalow Mannat, however, it was later revealed the agency was there to complete some paperwork.
Panday is known to have worked in films like Pati, Patni Aur Woh opposite Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar, and Khaali Peeli which also featured Ishaan Khatter. She will next be seen in director Shakun Batra's untitled film, which also features Deepika Padukone and Sidharth Chaturvedi.
The raid at Panday's Mumbai home comes close to the heels of Aryan Khan's arrest in a drug bust aboard a cruise ship. Aryan, who is the son of Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan, is currently being held at Arthur Jail in Mumbai. Khan was arrested by NCB, along with his friend Arbaaz Merchant and model Munmun Dhamecha, both of who were allegedly carrying banned substances.
On October 20, a special Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) court in Mumbai rejected Aryan's bail plea, following which his lawyers approached the Bombay High Court for the same. On October 21, it was reported that the star-kid's bail plea will be heard by the HC next Tuesday, October 26.
Aryan Khan's sister Suhana is known to be friends with Panday and Shanaya Kapoor, who is the daughter of actor Sanjay Kapoor.
