Moon Knight is a Marvel mini series that is based on the MCU character of the same name. The story follows the life of Steven Grant, a British gift shop employee, who finds that he is a mercenary of the name Marc Spector is using his body as a vessel and the two go on an adventure together to know an Egyptian mystery. The show released on March 30, 2022 and updates weekly. The 6 episodes long series will have its finale on May 4, 2022 on Disney Plus Hotstar.

Is Moon Knight Season 2 Coming?

Moon Knight is the story of an ordinary, calm employee of a gift shop named Steven Grant. One day, he starts getting visions and memories of another life and frequent blackouts. Soon Steven gets to know that he is suffering from dissociative identity disorder and is sharing his body with a mercenary named Marc Spector. Steven and Marc go together on a dangerous adventure to unravel the mysteries related to the powerful Egyptian Gods.

The show features Oscar Isaac in the role of Steven/Marc along with a supporting cast of May Calamawy, Ethan Hawke and Karim El Hakim in pivotal roles. The series gained a huge audience with around 1.8 million views in just 5 episodes. The series will soon be coming to an end on May 4, 2022 and the fans are anticipating that the series might have a second season. However, Marvel has reportedly submitted Moon Knight for Emmy's in the limited series category. The eligibility criteria for this category is given as "tell a complete, non-recurring story, and not have an ongoing storyline or main characters in subsequent seasons."

Such a move from the makers have clearly suggested that the series will no longer be having a second season. However, there is a possibility that we will see more of Steven Grant and Marc Spector in another Marvel movie as a cross-over. But that also is difficult to say as Oscar Isaac has not yet signed any contract with Marvel to appear in another project. Hence, for now, we can say that the season 2 of Moon Knight is not coming.
