Mimi Twitter Reacts: In Mimi Kriti Sanon collaborates again with Luka Chuppi director Laxman Utekar and making a Bollywood-style masala take on the 2011 National Award winner Marathi film Mala Aai Vhhaychy! which dealt with the subject of surrogacy gone wrong. The movie has hit the OTT platforms a day before Kriti Sanon’s birthday on July 27.

The film narrates the tale of a Mandawa-based young woman who doesn't like children much but eventually ends up being a surrogate mother to earn money. She later gets abandoned by the biological parents who refuse to accept the child. Utekar has also written the movie's story. Apart from the Luka Chuppi actor, Mimi also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Sai Tamhankar,  veteran actor Supriya Pathak and Manoj Pahwa in significant roles.

As soon as the movie was released on Monday, netizens started lauding Sanon and Tripathi for delivering extraordinary performances. One user said that Sanon is "phenomenal" in the film as she has finally proven her talent and is going to rule the industry. Another person commented on how "beautiful" and "emotional" the film is. He said while the story is predictable, the film is highly engaging with "no boring moment at all". "Such content-driven films being shouldered by our conventional actresses is fab to see. Talking about Sanon's acting, one person commented, "You are the show stealer of the movie, loved your acting you are the best." He added that Tripathi as usual delivered the best performance.
