At least two staffs of Kensington Palace alleged that Markle used to bully them during her tenure as a British Royal. According to a report by the Times of London, Markle had made the staffers cry during her short stay in the palace before her wedding in May 2018.

On staffer allegedly told her colleague before a 'confrontation' with Markle that she "can't stop shaking". The UK newspaper also reported that two senior members of the staff were forced into quitting their jobs at the Palace. Jason Knauf, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's communication assistant at the time had reported the incident in 2018. His complaint read," I am very concerned that the Duchess was able to bully two PAs out of the household in the past year. The treatment of X was totally unacceptable".

He also said that Markle always wants to have someone in her sights. He continued, " She is bullying Y and seeking to undermine her confidence. We have had report after report from people who have witnessed unacceptable behaviour towards Y.” Knauf was reported saying that he is concerned that nothing will be done in the matter. More sources quoted by the UK newspaper said that Buckingham Palace did not address the issue. One source said, "particularly young women, were being bullied to the point of tears".

Meghan Markle had denied the bullying allegations. Her spokesperson said that she is "saddened by this latest attack on her character, particularly as someone who has been the target of bullying herself." This news comes right before the much-awaited interview of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex with Oprah. In a short clip released of the interview, Markle was heard saying that her life in the royal family was "almost unsurvivable".
