Meet Shreya Patel And The Cast Of Balika Vadhu 2

Balika Vadhu 2 is coming back with Shreya Patel and Vansh Sayani as the Anandi and Jagya. The show has announced its release date as August 9.

Shreya Patel who is going to be playing the lead role in the show is nine years old. She will be playing the role of Anandi and similar to the previous season, Anandi would be wed off as a child bride.

Shreya Patel was previously seen in the daily soap Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha. On the other hand, Vansh Sayani was on the cast of the child superhero serial Baal Veer. Seema Mishra, Anshul Trivedi, Supriya Shukla, Riddhi Nayak Shukla, Ketki Dave and others will also be a part of the cast of Balika Vadhu 2.

Anandi was previously played by Avika Gor as a child bride and later Pratyusha Banerjee was cast as the young version of Anandi with the help of a public pole on Colors TV.

The Balika Vadhu 2 trailer is out on the social media handle of Colors TV on Instagram. Season 2 of the long-running daily soap would be based on the same lines as the previous one: child marriage. The first season also touched upon many social issues like female oppression, education for girls particularly in rural parts of the country, the stigma around divorce and the stereotypes that surround the widows of today.

Balika Vadhu 2 will be released on television on August 9 and would continue on weekdays from Monday to Friday. The show will air on the prime time of the small screen at 8 PM IST.

The former cast of the season of Balika Vadhu remembered late actor Surekha Sikri who passed away recently due to a cardiac arrest last week.

Apart from Balika Vadhu, the shows like Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Saath Nibhana Saathiya, Sasural Simar Ka and Pratigya are also preparing for their sequels.
