McKenna Grace And Lexi Underwood To Star In The Disney+ Series 'Just Beyond'

Mckenna Grace and Lexi Underwood to star in Seth Grahame-Smith’s supernatural anthology series Just Beyond. The Disney+ show is inspired by the graphic novel Boom! and deals with self journeys of characters as they visit the parallel world.

The show is an anthology that tells us astonishing and thought-provoking stories which are inspired by reality. The show deals with self-discovery and adventurous tales of characters who go on a journey of self-discovery in a supernatural world of witches, aliens, ghosts and parallel universes. Each episode is played out by a different cast of characters and the respective episodes featuring Grace and Underwood will be both directed by Marc Webb.

The show Just Beyond will also feature Nasim Pedrad as a guest star. Pedrad is the star and co-creator of Chad.

The Disney+ series is executively produced by Grahame-Smith, David Katzenberg and Aaron Schmidt via KatzSmith Productions. It marks another collaboration between Grace and Webb.

Recently appearing in Hulu's Little Fires Everywhere, Underwood received an NAACP Image Award for outstanding performance by a youth nomination for her work as Pearl Warren in the drama series. She is also set to play a role in The First Lady which will cast Viola Davis as Michelle Obama. Underwood also formed her own production company, named Ultimate Dreamer Productions.

Pedrad recently debuted the high-school comedy Chad on TBS. She had a five year run on Saturday Night Live. She was also seen in the movie Desperados with other stars like Robbie Amell, Lamorne Morris and Anna Camp. Her other works include Disney’s live-action Aladdin remake as Dalia, Princess Jasmine’s best friend, New Girl, Scream Queens, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, People of Earth and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

The Disney+ anthology show is based on Boom! Studios' graphical novel by R.L. Stine. The release of the same is expected by the fall of 2021.
