Adivi Sesh Starrer 'Major' Gets OTT Release Date; Read Details Here

Major, a biographical action drama film that debuted in May, had a limited theatrical run on May 24 in a few Indian cities before becoming available all-around June 3 of that same year. Fans can't wait to watch the movie from the comfort of their homes now that it is ready for OTT release. Here's the release schedule for the film, which was announced today by the makers.

The film is a biographical drama based on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan. Major Sandeep was one among the many army personnel who died on the fateful day--November 26--when Mumbai witnessed ghastly terror attacks at multiple places across the city.

Major follows the life journey of Major Sandeep who has since a young age wanted to be a soldier. It also centres around his contribution during the mission of rescuing civilians trapped in the Hotel Taj Mahal Palace which was under attack.

In the film, Adivi Sesh plays the role of Major Sandeep who initially wishes to join the Navy but couldn't since his parents did not assent and later joined the Army.

Saiee Manjrekar and Sobhita Dhulipala, apart from Adivi, play the key parts in the film; the film also stars Prakash Raj, Revathi, and Murali Sharma in supporting roles.

The film's cinematography was done by Vamsi Patchipulusu, while Sri Charan Pakala composed the soundtrack. Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi & Kodati Pavan Kalyan edited the film. In collaboration with Mahesh Babu's GMB Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. and the A+S Movies banner, Sony Pictures Films India produced the movie. Adivi Sesh wrote the main plot and the screenplay, and Abburi Ravi handled the Telugu dialogue and script direction.

Major OTT release date

On July 3, Major will be made available on OTT. The movie will debut on the popular online streaming service, Netflix. Telugu, Hindi, and Malayalam are the three languages in which the movie will be released online. The movie is currently in its fourth week in theatres and doing well.

Announcing the film's OTT debut, the streaming giant tweeted, "The untold story of a son. The untold story of a father. The untold story of a SOLDIER. Major is coming to Netflix on July 3 in Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam!
