A popular OTT platform has revealed the release date of its debut Indian original film. The movie, Maja Ma, starring Madhuri Dixit will stream on October 6. The movie is described as a “heart-warming family story” and is directed by Anand Tiwari of the Bandish Bandits fame. The traditional celebrations and Indian wedding scene serves the backdrop to the movie.
The OTT platform released a poster from the movie along with the following message, “the dancing diva is back and how! blessing your screens to do away with your mid-week blues – now we’re feeling Maja Ma.” The movie poster gives vibe of navratri celebrations. Gajraj Rao, Ritwik Bhowmik, Barkha Singh, Srishti Shrivastava, Rajit Kapur, Sheeba Chaddha, Simone Singh, Malhar Thakar, and Ninad Kamat are also featured in the movie.

The film will be released exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. The head of Prime Video’s India Originals, Aparna Purohit, released the following statement, “Maja Ma is the first of many original movies that will launch immediately on our Service. The fact that Madhuri Dixit, a Bollywood legend, portrays a strong female protagonist in this film and highlights her resolve makes it particularly meaningful to us. ”
Madhuri Dixit made her OTT debut earlier this year with the Netflix series The Fame Game. The second season of the successful show hasn’t yet been revealed, despite the fact that it ended on a cliffhanger. Currently, the actor serves as one of the Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa judges. Other judges for the dance reality TV show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10 include director Karan Johar and actor-dancer Nora Fatehi.
