Netflix's upcoming slate of releases also includes Vishal Bhardwaj's Khufiya and Riteish Deshmukh's OTT debut Plan A Plan B

Netflix released a list of the upcoming shows and films for the year as it marks its 25th anniversary. In addition to posting the announcements on its social media sites with behind-the-scenes shots, pictures, and trailers, the streaming service held an event in Mumbai for the launches of upcoming dramas.

The popular streaming platform just delivered the renowned series Delhi Crime Season 2 and the smash hit movie Darlings. The streaming platform's lineup for the upcoming year includes The Archies, Qala, Chakda Xpress, Khufiya, Jogi, Kathal, and the Hindi version of The Devotion of Suspect X. According to the recent announcement, some of the projects are currently being filmed and others are completed. However, the platform is yet to reveal the release dates for each project. Here are the projects announced by the streaming platform so far.

Chor Nikal Ke Bhaaga

The streaming platform announced the film with a behind-the-scenes video of the upcoming drama. In the ">video, the stars Yami Gautam and Sunny Kaushal can be seen filming dramatic scenes on an airplane with a large number of co-passengers. The caption of the video reads, "WARNING: These Chors @yamigautam @sunnykaushal89 are on their way to steal our hearts. Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga, coming soon! " It is said to be a suspense thriller and is produced by Amar Kaushik and made under the banner of Maddock Films.

Monica Oh My Darling

The upcoming drama is a multi-starrer, platform announced it with pictures of every character and a filming video from the sets and wrote, "All these darlings in one film 🤩 Monica, O My Darling coming soon! 🥳"  The film stars Rajkummar Rao, Radhika Apte, Huma Qureshi, Sukant Goel, Akansha Ranjan Kapoor  and Sikandar Kher.

Plan A Plan B

The film was announced with a small introduction video that stars Riteish Deshmukh and Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead role. The caption read, "A divorce lawyer and a matchmaker are a match?! 🤔Will they make it ❤️ or break it 💔 Watch Plan A Plan B to find out! Coming soon." The plot of the movie centres on the love-hate relationship between a matchmaker played by Bhatia and a divorce lawyer played by Deshmukh. The film is slated to release on September 30.

Monica Oh My Darling

The Archies

This adaptation is directed by Zoya Akhtar and produced by Tiger Baby. The Archies features an ensemble cast including debutants Agastya Nanda (Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson), Suhana Khan (Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter), and Khushi Kapoor (Sridevi’s daughter).

Khufiya

Director Vishal Bhardwaj's thriller Khufiya, starring Tabu and Ali Fazal, has been referred to as his passion project. In a previous interview, Tabu described the spy thriller as "the realm of intelligence, agents, and espionage but not like a conventional spy thriller that you've seen."

Chakda Xpress

This movie, which is based on the life of former Indian captain and fast bowler Jhulan Goswami marked Anushka Sharma's comeback movie. The beginning of filming was confirmed by the platform in January.

Devotion of Suspect X (Hindi Adaptation)

Sujoy Ghosh is directing the movie, which serves as Kareena Kapoor Khan's OTT debut. It is an adaptation of Keigo Higashino's same-titled novel, written in Japanese. The movie also includes Vijay Varma, and in June, Khan confirmed that filming was wrapped.

Qala

In 2021, a teaser for Qala was made available by the platform. The movie, which has been directed by Anvitaa Dutt and stars Tripti Dimri and Swastika Mukherjee, is Irrfan Khan's Babil Khan's acting debut. The film is described as a "beautiful, heartbreaking story about a daughter who craves her mother’s love."
