Vijay's much-anticipated film, Leo, has caused a stir as the first look of the actor was unveiled on his birthday, June 22.
The upcoming project marks a reunion between Vijay and filmmaker Kanagaraj after the 2021 blockbuster 'Master'.
Kanagaraj took to his social media handle to share the first look at the film while wishing the actor on his birthday. "#LeoFirstLook is here! Happy Birthday, @actorvijayanna! Elated to join hands with you again na! Have a blast!"

The first-look poster sees Vijay with a ferocious expression wielding a bloodied sledgehammer adding intrigue to the movie. Behind Vijay is a wolf, looking equally ferocious.
Leo also marks actor Sanjay Dutt's debut in Tamil cinema. Actors Trisha, Arjun Sarja, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, Mysskin and Gautham Vasudev Menon round out the cast.
The film started shooting earlier this year. It is produced by SS Lalit Kumar and co-produced by Jagadish Palanisamy. The plot details of the movie have been kept under wraps. However, the upcoming movie has garnered a fair deal of attention as it is reportedly set in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe, which includes Kaithi and Vikram.
The non-theatrical rights, digital rights, and overseas rights of the film have been sold at record-breaking prices, setting the stage for high expectations, reports Livemint.
In March, the team of Leo dropped a video saluting the spirit of the team who shot the film in difficult conditions. The film has been shot in Kashmir.
Fan reaction to the poster
Reacting to the film's poster, a fan tweeted, "Is it a Kollywood film (Tamil) or Hollywood?" One more said, "Cannot wait for this one!"
