The trailer of the film opens with dark scenes of murder, revenge and the godly purpose of it all. We see the Erattupetta of Kerala where a man named Ibrahim is trying to justify his actions by calling them the will of God. He is hidden in mountains trying to forget the disturbing memories of the past.

An injured police officer enters his house with a man he took prisoner and seeks refuge. The duo is followed by an enemy who eventually finds them in Ibrahim's house and that is when he introspects and questions his beliefs and convictions.

Judging by the trailer, the film Kuruthi is going to be a hard one to forget as the scenes of knives, guns and blood seem to dominate the film.

As for the female characters in the film, they seem to be the guiding light asking pressing questions and pointing out the obvious. This is good because there are not many who do that.

The male lead Privithiraj had earlier called Kuruthi "one of the most intense and fast-paced films" he has ever been part of. The trailer does seem to prove that right.  He had talked about being proud of the film as it has a captivating story and "nonstop thrills". Thrills, for sure but story? The trailer does not give that away so much.

The film has also starred actors such as Murali Gopi, Shine Tom Chacko and Roshan Mathew. Kuruthi has been produced by Prithviraj Sukumaran under his own banner Prithviraj Productions.

Manu Warrier, the director of the film, in his statement, had called it a story that everyone needs to see. He said, “ Human relations are often tainted with pride and hatred constantly battling to survive amidst the beliefs that we cling to, and Kuruthi aims to highlight these complex emotions. As an actor, it was a pleasure to have worked with such a brilliant team who have striven to bring to the audience nothing less than perfection.”
