Kumkum Bhagya Fans Accuse Ekta Kapoor Of Disrespecting Lead Actors

TV serial Kumkum Bhagya fans accused Ekta Kapoor, the producer of avoiding the lead actors of the daily soap. The absence of lead actors Sriti Jha and Shabeer Ahluwalia from the show is upsetting the fans and they are holding the maker responsible for it.

Kumkum Bhagya was premiered in 2014 and since then the story has seen many twists, turns and a spin-off as well by the name of Kundali Bhagya launched in 2017. The lead actors who play the male and female protagonists are Shabeer Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha respectively. The actors have a huge fan base as become a household name since its release. The actors are the primary reason why many fans watch the show.

Upset Kumkum Bhagya Fans Accuse Ekta Kapoor

Because of a twist in the plot of the show, Sriti Jha and Shabeer Ahluwalia's characters are not shown in the daily soap since the last three months. Their characters are shown to be in coma after meeting with an accident and the story is proceeding with the lives of their kids in the centre. Kumkum Bhagya fans accused Ekta Kapoor and held her responsible for the couples absence. They are missing the couple and hence demanding to bring them back.

It is to be noted that the actors have been the driving force of the show since 2014 and their absence will definitely affect the fans. They are expressing their sadness on Twitter and lashing out on Ekta Kapoor for the "mistreatment" of artists and not giving them a happy ending that they deserve. The fans tweeted -

  • "ABHIGYA were in KKB for the fans .we have to something for #tisha .if the trp is increasing after they left the show, it Will be a failure for the entire #abhigya fans . @ektarkapoor is insulting and avoiding them, zee tv doesn't deserve #AbhiGya ."
  • "I am never gonna forgive anyone not chii nor ekta never gonna watch any show of them now the way they behave with our #abhigya this people don't deserve anything best go to hell @ektarkapoor @ZeeTV"

Earlier the makers of Kumkum Bhagya, one of the longest running shows in Indian television history, hinted towards the potential exit of Sriti Jha-Shabeer Ahluwali and their characters from the show and the focus to be shifted on their next generation. The makers said that Sriti and Shabeer and their characters were the pillars of the show for seven years. It is not yet decided if they will exit the show or come back at a later point.
