Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo: Bridesmaids writers Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo are all set to re-collaborate for an upcoming comedy film Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar.
In the film, both Kristen and Annie will be portraying two women named Star and Barb respectively. Actor Jamie Dornan will be playing the lead role of Edgar. Besides starring in the film, Wiig and Mumolo have also written the screenplay of the film. The comedy will be directed by Josh Greenbaum.
The film is an American comedy which will tell the story of two women who seek adventure after they leave their small town for the very first time. It will be released on 12 February 2021.
In an interview with Today, Kristen said that the "seeds for Barb and Star were planted many years ago." She also added that she and Annie were kind of "gravitated towards middle-aged women who were very similar with big wigs." Annie Mumolo complimented her co-star Jamie Dornan by saying that he was a "dream to watch" while he was performing somersaults, and rolling in the beach sand. “He was just so game for everything,” she added.

Actor Kristen Wiig was last seen in Wonder Woman 1984 which also starred actor Gal Gadot. Annie Mumolo was last seen in American comedy-mystery series Mapleworth Murders.
