Kota Factory an innocuous show which was first released in 2019 in monochrome managed to grabbed the eyeballs of the audience for it is very relatable storytelling surrounding the ruthlessly competitive world of cracking IIT-JEE. The show's first season released on TVF is now back on Netflix with its second season on September 24th.

The show resonated with many viewers who have had their tryst with competitive examination as it talks about the loneliness experienced by the students during the preparation period. The director of the show Raghav Subbu said, 'Things that people liked about 'Kota Factory' season one was not just the fact that it's somebody going to a city and just giving an exam, wanting to go make it to the IIT. There were so many things that we highlighted with the show, like the theme of loneliness."

The trailer for the show released on September 10 shows Vaibhav trying to adjust at the sort after "Maheshwari coaching classes" where he has to deal with a lot of pressure while preparing for the IIT-JEE. He encourages his classmate to not lose faith in the process. His friend on the other hand has reached a stage where he questions the system and why they can’t do anything else with their lives apart from engineering There problems escalate when they come to know that their favourite teacher, and mentor Jeetu Bhaiya, would no longer teach and has now started his coaching centre. Jeetu Bhaiya, essayed by Jeetendra Kumar is also greatly loved.

The cast will have familiar names like Jeetendra Kumar, Mayur More, Ahsaas Channa, Alam Khan from the first season.

Ahsaas Channa, one of the few female characters in the show has appeared as a child actor in films like as Vaastu Shastra and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna. She played the role of Shivangi in the first season. Channa on being a child actor said to The Indian Express, "My mother was also very clear that I never did a daily show as I would miss school, owing to the long hours of shoots. I have loved and enjoyed what I was doing. But there is a long way to go and a lot of hard work. There are a lot of decisions to be made to reach where I want to,"
