The episode was made available today, Thursday, August 4. Here are some of the highlights from, Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor's episode.

Koffee With Karan 7 Episode 5 Highlights:

- Kareena Kapoor Khan as Rupa

Karan Johar started the conversation by questioning his guests about their upcoming movie, Laal Singh Chaddha. Aamir Khan, who spoke candidly about the process of securing the rights to Forrest Gump, also revealed that Kareena Kapoor was not the original choice for Rupa since the producers were initially seeking a younger actor.

Khan said, " No, as we were truly considering the age group. Both the characters have a journey from 18 to 50 years of life. Initially, we thought the less the de-aging the better-so only I should de-age. We were looking at the age group of 25 so that the female actor could appear both younger and older."  Aamir Khan went on to say that he could no longer imagine anyone else playing the part but Kareena Kapoor.

- Kareena Kapoor's First Screen Test

Kapoor announced that Aamir Khan asked her to perform a screen test for the movie part. She said, "They brought a camera to my office. They made me enact the scene because he (Aamir) was like, "I am not confident." When Johar asked her if it was an ego issue, she replied, "No, It was not an ego, screen testing was just something I'd never done before, so I was nervous."

- Box Office Pressure For Laal Singh Chaddha

The film, which is slated to release in theatres on August 11, will come out competing with Akshay Kumar's Raksha Bandhan. Khan responded when asked if he was nervous, saying that while he was confident in the movie they created, he was even more nervous about how the public would respond to it. He stated that he would be 'heartbroken' if Laal Singh Chaddha does not succeed because it is a labour of love for so many people.

-   South Indian Films' Success and Bollywood Films' Struggle

Then, Johar questioned Aamir Khan about the popularity of South Indian movies and the difficulties that the most recent Bollywood releases had at the box office. All of his movies, he responded, are about human emotions. He claimed that movies needed to be relevant to Indians as a whole. The actor went on to say that although filmmakers are free to create whatever they want, they could wind up focusing primarily on a specific audience.

Insights On Karan Johar’s Grand 50th Birthday Bash:

The actor attacked Johar for throwing a lavish birthday party, saying that while he was there, he noted that guests were shouting at the top of their lungs to communicate with one another while loud music played in the background. He claimed that the volume of the music was unnecessary because nobody was dancing and nobody could even talk to anybody else.

Actor's Relationships With Their Families:

According to Kareena Kapoor, keeping up good relations with her husband Saif Ali Khan's two children from his previous marriage to Amrita Singh is not at all difficult for her. Regarding the relationship he has with both of his ex-wives, Aamir Khan stated, "I have the highest regard and respect for both of them. We're a family now and forever. No matter how busy we are, we all get together once a week. There is a lot of sincere concern, love, and respect for one another."

Fun Segments:

In the popular rapid-fire round, Kareena Kapoor skipped most of the questions, and hence one of the worst rapid-fire rounds from this season was followed by a new game called "actors trolling actors." In the next fun segment, Aamir Khan called Kiran Rao and Ranveer Singh to try to win the round. On the other hand, Kareena Kapoor called Saif Ali Khan and Arjun Kapoor.
