Their paths crossed at the wrap-up party of Kiara's film Lust Stories in 2018. It wasn't until they co-starred in Shershaah in 2021 that their relationship blossomed. After spending time together, they decided to take the next step. Kiara Advani, as revealed on an episode of Koffee With Karan, took the initiative in 2021 by asking Malhotra to meet her parents.
During the same episode, Kiara Advani shared details about Sidharth Malhotra's proposal, which occurred during their trip to Rome with Malhotra and his family. As they were taking a post-dinner stroll, a violinist approached them, and it was then that Malhotra knelt down and proposed to her. Kiara described the proposal as reminiscent of their film Shershaah.
They both tied the knot in a private ceremony at Jaisalmer's Suryagarh Palace on February 7, 2023.
