Khatija Rahman wedding took place yesterday. Music maestro and father AR Rahman shared a picture from the ceremony on his social media. Fans have been pouring love and congratulations on the daughter and the family. Khatija got married to audio engineer Riyasdeen Shaik Mohamed.
He shared a picture of the family posing at the wedding ceremony. It also had a portrait of his late mother on the display near the seating area of the bride and the groom. It showed the couple in a white ensemble and the others standing behind them. The frame included AR Rahman, elder sister Raheema, wife Saira Banu and his son Ameen.
He shared it on his Instagram feed with the caption, "May the almighty bless the couple thanking you in advance for your good wishes and love (emojis) @khatija.rahman @riyasdeenriyan #nikkahceremony #marriage."

Khatija also shared a picture of her wedding and wrote, "The most awaited day in my life. Married to my man." Khatija and Riyasdeen got engaged in January this year. She also shared pictures from her engagement ceremony, where he wore a pink and silver outfit.
Who is Khatija Rahman?
Born in Chennai, Khatija is the eldest daughter of AR Rahman and Saira Banu. The 25-year-old made her singing debut for a science fiction Tamil film titled Enthiran. She sang the song Pudhiya Manidha. The film was also released in the Hindi language named Robot, which starred Aishwarya Rai as well.
Recently she sang the son Rock A Bye Baby for the film starring Kriti Sanon, Mimi, which released in 2021. She also released a music album on YouTube named Farishton which got more than one million views. The music was composed by her father AR Rahman and the lyrics were written by Muuna Shoukath Ali.
While Riyasdeen is an aspiring entrepreneur and a live sound engineer at the AR Rahman's studio. He is also an Apple iTunes MFit Certified Mastering Engineer. He also practices re-recording mixing at YM Studios. He is 28-years-old and was born in Chennai on September 28, 1994.
