Who Is Kelly Clarkson? The Artist Earns Hollywood Walk Of Fame Star

Kelly Clarkson has earned a star in her name on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The singer, songwriter and television personality was honoured at the walk of fame ceremony in presence of her family, friends and colleagues.

The 40-year-old performer, who rose to fame after winning American Idol's first season in 2002, was conferred a star at the historic landmark in Los Angeles.

Kelly Clarkson emerged as a winner in the first season of the reality singing show American Idol in 2002. Interestingly, Clarkson's Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony was held right in front of the Dolby Theatre, where she won the first season of American Idol twenty years ago. 

The singer was surrounded by her friends from the industry including judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, and Randy Jackson of the American Idol fame. Clarkson thanked the three judges for being a major positive influence in her life and for keeping her grounded through their honesty and support. Her two children were also present at the ceremony to support her.

Clarkson, who belongs to Texas, became one of the biggest pop sensations of all time right from the time she released her debut album, Thankful in 2003. Her latest album When Christmas comes Around in 2021 became extremely popular around the holiday season. Her song, A Moment Like This which was part of her debut album, topped the US Billboard charts. She has given a myriad of solid albums and songs in the past two decades. The Breakaway singer has been a part of several popular television shows including The Voice, Duets and her talk show called The Kelly Clarkson Show where she has had some powerful personalities as guests over the years. The Kelly Clarkson Show has aired four seasons to date, and Clarkson has also won a Daytime Emmy Award for best television talk show host for the same.  

The songwriter has scored over a hundred songs on the top charts and has sold over twenty-five million albums worldwide. Clarkson married talent manager Brandon Blackstock in 2013 and the couple divorced in 2021. They share two children, River Rose Blackstock and Remington Alexander Blackstock.
