Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau In A 'Fairly Serious' Relationship?

After months of speculation, pop superstar Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau appear to have confirmed their relationship. The two were recently spotted in Paris, celebrating Perry’s 41st birthday, marking their first public appearance together since rumours began earlier this year. 

Back in July, the pair were seen enjoying a quiet dinner in Montreal, Canada, shortly after Perry ended her engagement with actor Orlando Bloom. At the time, their meeting sparked widespread curiosity, but both remained silent, offering no official confirmation about their relationship.

Now, new photos show the couple arriving hand-in-hand at a private dinner event in Paris. According to reports, they looked “happy and comfortable,” with sources saying that their bond has only grown stronger over the past few months. Social media is buzzing with reactions. Fans are calling them an unexpected yet charming duo.

Neither Perry nor Trudeau has made a public statement yet, but sources close to the duo call their relationship "fairly serious," according to People. Their Paris outing, often called the “City of Love”, has fans convinced that the two are ready to take their relationship public.

Katy Perry & Justin Trudeau's Past Relationships

Perry had been previously in a relationship with actor Orlando Bloom. The couple separated in June, and in a media interaction, their representatives shared that the former couple is "shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting." Their representatives further added that they would continue to show a united front for the sake of their four-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove. They were last spotted together with Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez Bezos vacationing on a yacht off of Amalfi Coast in Italy, days after their separation was confirmed.

Former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced his amicable separation from his wife Sophie Gregoire in August 2023. The former couple had been married for over 18 years, and share three children- Xavier, 17, Ella-Grace, 16, and Hadrien, 11.

In an official Instagram post in both English and French, Trudeau gave his statement: "Hi everyone, Sophie and I would like to share the fact that after many meaningful and difficult conversations, we have made the decision to separate. As always, we remain a close family with deep love and respect for each other and for everything we have built and will continue to build. For the well-being of our children, we ask that you respect our and their privacy. Thank you."
