Katy Perry, Justin Trudeau's Spotted Together In Montreal, Sparks Dating Rumours

Justin Trudeau and Katy Perry have sparked fresh dating rumours with their second Montreal outing, just weeks after Perry's breakup with partner Orlando Bloom.

Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau were unexpectedly spotted together. The duo was seen enjoying a dinner in Montreal, Canada, on July 28. Katy's unexpected public appearance comes weeks after she ended her engagement with Orlando Bloom.

According to People, Perry, 40, and Trudeau, 53, were spotted dining at the neighborhood restaurant Le Violon. TMZ reported that they enjoyed cocktails and several other dishes, one of them being lobster. It was also reported that they met Chef Danny Smiles during the dinner, and went on to thank the kitchen staff post their meal. 

There have been no official statements from Katy Perry or Justin Trudeau yet.

Katy Perry & Justin Trudeau's Past Relationships

Perry had been previously in a relationship with actor Orlando Bloom. The couple separated in June, and in a media interaction, their representatives shared that the former couple is "shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting." Their representatives further added that they would continue to show a united front for the sake of their 4½-year-old daughter Daisy Dove. They were last spotted together with Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez Bezos vacationing on a yacht off of Amalfi Coast in Italy, days after their separation was confirmed.

Former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced his amicable separation from his wife Sophie Gregoire in August 2023. The former couple had been married for over 18 years, and share three children- Xavier, 17, Ella-Grace, 16, and Hadrien, 11.

In an official Instagram post in both English and French, Trudeau gave his statement:

"Hi everyone, Sophie and I would like to share the fact that after many meaningful and difficult conversation, we have made the decision to separate. As always, we remain a close family with deep love and respect for each other and for everything we have built and will continue to build. For the well-being of our children, we ask that you respect our and their privacy. Thank you."
