During a press conference for her upcoming movie, Merry Christmas, Katrina Kaif encountered a journalist who questioned her about playing a "nuanced character" compared to what was termed as "just a glamour role" in her previous film, Maneesh Sharma's 2023 spy thriller Tiger 3. This caught Kaif off guard, prompting her to provide a swift response to the reporter's label of her role in Tiger 3 as merely a "glamour doll."

Katrina Kaif responded to the reporter's inquiry by expressing a different perspective, stating that she perceives her character Zoya in Tiger 3 as one of the strongest roles she's had the opportunity to portray. She praised the nuanced and well-crafted writing by Maneesh Sharma for her character, emphasising her enjoyment of embodying that role.

I see things a little different perhaps. I actually think the character of Zoya is one of the strongest characters I've ever had the chance to play. Especially in Tiger 3, it was so nuanced and so well-written by Maneesh Sharma. I thoroughly enjoyed being able to play that character

During the promotional event in Mumbai, the makers unveiled two distinct trailers in both Hindi and Tamil languages. The press conference featured actors Katrina Kaif, Vijay Sethupathi, and Sanjay Kapoor, along with director Sriram Raghavan and producers Ramesh Taurani and Sanjay Routray.

Additionally, a melodious track titled Nazar Teri Toofan, sung by Papon and penned by Varun Grover, with music composed by Pritam, was released by the makers. The song marks the collaboration of Pritam and Varun Grover for the first time, delivering a soulful musical experience.

Katrina Kaif On Working with Sriram Raghavan

Katrina Kaif expressed her excitement about collaborating with Sriram Raghavan, the acclaimed director behind hits like Ek Hasina Thi, Johnny Gaddar, Badlapur, and Andhadhun, stating that working with him had been on her bucket list.

She mentioned, "For me, working with Sriram Raghavan was always on my bucket list to do and he's been one of my favourite directors. When I heard the story, I was in awe that I was going to get to work with him in a story like this which was so incredible. And also it was right for me, that's why sir and I came together for this film. He must have also seen that in the character."

Merry Christmas, produced by Tips Films and Matchbox Pictures, is scheduled for theatrical release on January 12.
