A few celebrities deleted their account from micro-blogging sites, simply to not be part of Musk's new regulation. Musk has been imposing new policies, from launching a monthly subscription plan for the blue tick to the mass layoffs citing Twitter's financial position.

Kathy Griffin

Comedian Kathy Griffin’s Twitter account was suspended for impersonating Elon Musk. Musk instructed that  Twitter handles engaging in impersonation without clearly specifying parody will be permanently suspended. Griffin under Musk’s name tweeted about the US midterm elections, which resulted in ban on the account. Griffin's one of a tweet was- After much spirited discussion with the females in my life. I’ve decided that voting blue for their choice is only right (They’re also sexy females, btw.) #VoteBlueToProtectWomen”. 

Gigi Hadid

Supermodel Gigi Hadid left the social media site saying, it is a "cesspool of hate and bigotry." Also offered apologies to her fans by saying, “Only sorry to the fans, who I have loved connecting with for a decade via Twitter, but I can’t say “I can’t stay it’s a safe place for anyone, nor a social platform that will do more good than harm.”

Amber Heard

Elon Musk's former girlfriend Amber Heard is not up on Twitter. The reason behind her disappearance is still unknown. However, few speculated Heard quit due to Musk's takeover, and few that her account was blocked. 

Shonda Rhimes

Grey's Anatomy producer Shonda Rhimes bid goodbye to the micro-blogging site after Musk's takeover. She said in the tweet, "I'm not hanging around for whatever Elon has planned. Bye."

Toni Braxton

Singer Toni Braxton also quit Twitter, citing Musk's action curtailing free speech. Singer said, "I’m shocked and appalled at some of the free speech I have seen on this platform since its acquisition. Hate speech under the veil of free speech is unacceptable; therefore, I am choosing to stay off Twitter."

Ken Olin

Ken Olin stopped using the site, though chose to keep his account live with millions of followers. He tweeted, "Hey all! I’m out of here. No judgment. Let’s keep the faith. Let’s protect our democracy. Let’s try to be kinder. Let’s try to save the planet. Let’s try to be more generous. "Let's look to find peace in the world."
