Kangana Ranaut OTT Debut: Queen actor Kangana Ranaut is all set to make her OTT debut with the Hindi adaptation of the American reality show, Temptation Island. Ranaut will be the host of the show. The reality show will be centred around couples and singles, whose bond will be tested in the show. It is similar to the Indian reality show Splitsvilla.
According to reports, Ranaut has already said yes to the show and will start shooting for it soon. The actor will be seen giving lessons on love to young couples and singles on the Indian version of the show. The name and release date of the Indian adaptation of Temptation has not been revealed yet.
Apart from her OTT debut, Ranaut is currently shooting for her film Dhaakad in Budapest, Hungary with Arjun Rampal. The actor will also play the role of India's first female Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the movie Emergency. The movie will be based on the life of the former Prime Minister's life and the emergency period of 1957 to 1977.
The actor also talked about her role in the film on her Instagram account writing, "Body scans for film Emergency, time to get in Madam Prime Minister Indira Gandhi Ji’s skin." The film will not be a biopic of Gandhi but will cover significant moments of Indian political history which will include The Emergency and Operation Blue Star. Ranaut said that it will be a political drama that will help her generation to understand the socio-political landscape of current India.
The actor said that she is looking forward to playing Indira Gandhi's character in the film and also called the "the most iconic leader that we have had in the history of Indian politics". The movie will also portray several other notable politicians including Morarji Desai, Rajeev Gandhi, and Lal Bahadur Shastri among others.
