This was not the first time that Kangana Ranaut has called an actor ‘bimbo’. A video is doing rounds on the Internet which sees Kapil Sharma asking Kangana, “Who is Bolly Bimbo?” She, who appears to be taking a dig at Ananya Panday, said, “Bolly bimbo are those who can touch the tip of the nose with their tongue.” She even mimicked the Gehraiyaan actor by trying to touch the tip of her nose with her tongue. Earlier, before the release of Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiadwadi, Kangana had said in a cryptic post wrote: “This Friday, 200 cr will be burnt to ashes at the box office… For a papa (movie mafia daddy) ki pari (who likes to keep a British passport) because papa wants to prove that romcom bimbo can act…” She was taking a dig at Alia Bhatt. She once called Sonam Kapoor ‘mafia bimbo’ as well.
So, what does a ‘bimbo’ mean? It means ‘an attractive but unintelligent or frivolous young woman.’ I think Alia Bhatt is anything but a bimbo and Ananya is too new in the industry and has to still prove herself.
Then there are actors like Sonam Kapoor who pass mean comments on fellow actors like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif. Sonam allegedly retorted in an interview, “Aishwarya is an aunty from another generation.” Speaking about Deepika’s fashion sense she has reportedly said, “Katrina is herself. She does not try to fit into a mould, which I respect a lot. She is not trying to be fashion icon of the century. Even if Katrina wears jeans and a t-shirt and has her hair in ponytail, I would rather have that than someone who is like, 'I want to be on the cover of Vogue every three months”. In another interview Sonam had expressed her desire to send a bouquet to Katrina. On being asked the reason behind it she said, “I don't know how she does that. You need a certain kind of commitment and a certain kind of shamelessness to do certain things.”
Kangana Ranaut Bollywood Bimbo Comment: Why are actors mean and make fun of fellow actors?
They feel insecure
With the success of Gangubai Kathiadwadi and earlier successes like Gully Boy and Raazi Alia has proved her metal. Are established actors like Kangana feeling threatened? They can’t come out in the open and fight so they take the recourse of snide remarks. But let’s remember it doesn’t go down well with fans. And Ananya is still a new kid on the block and it's downright mean to say something like that.
Standing up against nepotism is okay but not making fun of a new actor
Nepotism is everywhere in all fields. It’s good to take a stand for something one feels so strongly about but being mean and mimicking others on public platforms is uncalled for. What has this new actor done to deserve this?
Female actors fighting with each other is of no use
In an industry where female actors are paid less, some of them reportedly have to face the casting couch and are given less credit for hits, they need to stand with each other instead they are trying to put down one another in front of the world to see. What is achieved through name-calling, calling someone unfashionable and slut slamming?

Bollywood stars are looked up to
In India Bollywood stars are looked up to so they need to set examples in the right direction, not for all the wrong reasons. This kind of public humiliation and ridicule can destroy someone’s image and career. In this case, the new actor is a kid still trying to make a place for herself in this competitive industry.
