Kajol and Revathy Join Hands For Upcoming Film The Last Hurrah

Actor-turned-director Revathi's upcoming feature film The Last Hurrah will star Bollywood actor Kajol. The movie is backed by Suuraj Sinngh and Shraddha Agrawal under the banner Blive Productions and Take 23 Studios Production. The film is currently in pre-production. It is written by Sammeer Arora.

In a bid to share the news with her followers, Kajol took to her official Instagram and also said that it was the film's heart-warming story which she loved and she said yes to be part of the project.  "So happy to announce my next film with the super awesome Revathi directing me.. called 'The Last Hurrah'. A heart-warming story that made me instantly say YES! Can I hear a “Yipppeee” please?" Kajol wrote in her post. Here's the Instagram post. 

Story of the film

The film revolves around the story of Sujata played by Kajol. She is an exemplary mother who battled difficult situations in life without giving up.

The director Revathi has previously directed films like Mitr, My Friend and Phir Milenge. According to her, Kajol is the perfect choice to essay the character of Sujata.

"Sujata's journey in The Last Hurrah is extremely close to my heart. It's not only relatable but also inspiring. When Suuraj, Shraddha and I were discussing this film, Kajol was the first person who came to our mind," the 55-year-old film-maker said in a statement, as per report.

Kajol, on the other hand, was seen for the first time on OTT with with the Netflix film Tribhanga. The movie focused on a family with mostly female members that make it a point to neither turn women into goddesses nor villains. The movie highlights the grey shade that's there in every individual.
