Juhi Chawla birthday on November 13 this year calls for extra attention. The main reason for that is of course her own request to her fans and followers. The actor took to Twitter on Friday to ask her loved ones and her fans to not shower her with gifts. She instead wanted them to plant trees in her name.
In a tweet, Chawla wrote to people who want to give her gifts, they should plant a sapling in her name. She said it is not for her but “your children, for the earth, for our entire well being”. She also attached a link to the post.
Juhi Chawla entered Indian cinema with the 1986 film Sultanat alongside the magnificent names of Sridevi, Dharmendra and Amrish Puri. Despite the legendary cast, the film failed to perform well. Chawla went on to do a few more films, including one in Kannada before her big breakthrough in Bollywood came. In 1988, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak released to thundering success. A musical rendition of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak was recognised as a landmark film and immediately propelled both the leads, Chawla and Aamir Khan, into the national limelight making them “overnight stars.”

Since Juhi Chawla is turning a year older, here are the times she made news in 2021:
When She signed the bail bond for Aryan Khan
Aryan Khan who was arrested in a drugs-on-cruise case in October this year grabbed headlines in almost all the leading dailies. The son of Shah Rukh Khan was arrested during an alleged rave party going on a cruise ship on its way to Goa. The officials of the Narcotics Control Bureau of India reportedly did not find any drugs on Khan but his friend was allegedly seen hiding six grams of charas in his shoes. After many days of being in Tihar jail, the star was granted bail in the case and Juhi Chawla signed the bond for it. She reportedly paid a surety of one lakh rupees.
When she released the link for 5g court hearing
The actor had to pay ₹ 20 lakh fine as imposed by the Delhi High Court. According to the court, she abused the process of law by sharing the online hearing link on her social media platform for “publicity”. “The suit is dismissed. Plaintiffs abused the process of law. Costs of ₹ 20 lakh is imposed on plaintiffs,” the court said, directing Juhi Chawla and others to deposit court fees.
The court also ordered action against people who interrupted a virtual hearing using a link the actor had shared on social media and sang songs from her films.
The upcoming film Sharmaji Namkeen starring her and late veteran actor Rishi Kapoor will be released on his birth anniversary. Juhi Chawla said, “We are looking forward to its release on Chintuji’s birthday, 4th September this year.” She also added that the producers of the film made sure that the film was completed on time after Rishi Kapoor’s death.
Juhi Chawla expressed her views about the film’s script and said, “It is one of the sweetest, warmest and funniest scripts I have heard in some time. When it was first narrated to me, I was excited! ” She further added that the dialogues and film keep you smiling and chuckling. Chawala believes “Chintuji’s role was tailor-made for him.”
