Jawan Prevue: Nayanthara, Shah Rukh Khan Raise The Bar

The wait for Jawan Prevue is finally over, with Red Chillies Entertainment releasing a teaser of the much-anticipated Shah Rukh Khan film. Directed by Atlee, a prominent filmmaker in the Tamil film industry, Jawan is scheduled to hit theatres this September.

With SRK in the lead, the film also stars Nayanthara, versatile actor Vijay Sethupathi, and Sanya Malhotra. Global icon Deepika Padukone is also announced to make a cameo appearance in the movie.

While the previously released short teaser showed Khan with his face covered in bandages, the new video offers much more exciting content for fans.

It is reported that Shah Rukh Khan will be playing a dual role in the film: that of a fighter (father) and a jailor (son). It’s also alleged that SRK will don six different looks in the film. According to Times Now Digital, King Khan’s jailer character will be called Azad.

The prevue can’t get bigger than this. The action-packed preview video has Shah Rukh Khan’s voiceover asking, "Mein kaun hoon?" Initially shown to be the hero, SRK is seen transforming into a big, bad, bald villain, but is he really that? The movie should have the answers, but the prevue sure has garnered massive attention among the audience.

The prevue also shows glimpses of Nayanthara getting off a vehicle in style, Vijay Sethupathi in a rugged and intense look as he boxes, and Deepika Padukone clad in a saree but stealing the show by thrashing a man to the ground—a badass fight scene in the rain.

The prevue then features glimpses of fast-paced action sequences before it shows SRK sitting at a metro station with a bandage-covered face and a bag in hand. He’s heard saying, "When I become the villain, no hero stands a chance in front of me." Towards the end of the prevue, the video takes us by surprise as SRK’s character undoes the bandage, revealing a bald head.

With music by Anirudh Ravichandran, the film will be released simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on September 7, 2023. Jawan is produced by Gauri Khan and co-produced by Gaurav Verma.

The prevue looks intriguing and promising and has raised the standards the long-awaited film has set for itself. With a stellar cast that delivers exceptional performances and a much-loved Director and music director duo from the Tamil film Industry, Jawan is undoubtedly going to be celebrated throughout the country.
