The couple got married in a private ceremony in Goa which was attended by close friends and family. Ganeshan returned to work days after her marriage during the India-England ODI series in Pune. India won the series by 2-1.

Bumrah came back to work at the start of IPL 2021 and played seven matches taking six wickets.

Ganeshan was a part of the Women's T20 World Cup last year, which was held in Australia. She was also the part of the 2019 World Cup that took place in England, and moderated shows like "Cheeky Singles" and "Match Point". Ganeshan was also a part of the Star Sports broadcast team during the 2020 IPL which was held in UAE.

The Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah was granted leave by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) before the series against England which was held in India earlier this year.

In the current season of IPL, Bumrah was playing for the defending champions Mumbai Indians before the BCCI and the IPL governing council postponed the tournament indefinitely. The decision was taken after four players were reported positive for COVID-19 even after strict restrictions of the bio-bubble.

In the 14th edition of IPL held in 2021, the cricketer managed to get six wickets in seven games. But he kept his team Mumbai Indians, in the top half of the IPL points table through his economic spells in crunch situations.
