How Janhvi & Ishaan Stole The Spotlight
Making her Cannes Film Festival debut alongside her Homebound co-stars Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa, Janhvi's Tarun Tahiliani ensemble shone on the red carpet. Janhvi was seen wearing a custom skirt and corset made out of real tissue. Woven in Benares, the texture that added a layer of depth and dimension was achieved through a hand-crushed technique. The ensemble, styled by Rhea Kapoor, was paired with a signature TT drape.
A classic winged liner, dewy pink cheeks, and a sleek bun complemented her look. She also added a vintage touch by wearing a layered pearl necklace and a diamond stud.
Her sculpted pleats and the dupatta adorning her head like a ghoonghat added a royal touch to her Cannes ensemble. Walking down the aisle with Ishaan Khatter, they managed to grab attention for their vintage-style royal aesthetic.
All We Know About Homebound
Homebound has been officially selected for the ‘Un Certain Regard’ section at the 2025 edition of the festival. Karan Johar also attended the Cannes Film Festival as a producer of the film Homebound, which also has Adar Poonawalla on board as a co-producer. Nearly a decade later, director Neeraj Ghaywan is also set to return to Cannes. He previously debuted at the festival with his first directorial venture, Masaan. This year, Homebound brings him back to the festival, with Martin Scorsese on board as Executive Producer.
