Actor Ananya Panday and filmmaker Sulagna Chatterjee have earned spots in Forbes’ prestigious 30 Under 30 Asia list for 2025. The list recognises 30 talented individuals under the age of 30 from across the Asia-Pacific region, including artists, athletes, entrepreneurs, and changemakers.

Ananya Panday began her career in 2019 with Student of the Year 2 and was last seen in Kesari: Chapter 2. This year, she became Chanel’s first Indian brand ambassador, a big step for the luxury brand in South Asia. With over 26 million followers on Instagram, 26-year-old Panday's popularity continues to grow.
Forbes has also recognised 29-year-old Ishaan Khatter as a rising star in both Bollywood and Hollywood. Khatter, who made his debut with Dhadak, also featured in Mira Nair’s A Suitable Boy on Netflix and shared screen space with Nicole Kidman in The Perfect Couple (2023). Most recently seen in Netflix’s The Royals, Khatter will next appear in Homebound, a film set to premiere at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival on May 21.
Singer and songwriter Anuv Jain, known for his emotional lyrics and soothing acoustic music, also made it to the list. The 29-year-old from Ludhiana found fame with hits like Husn, which has over 204 million views on YouTube, and Baarishein, with 107 million. Jain has 16 million monthly listeners on Spotify and has crossed 1.5 billion streams in total. In 2024, he toured internationally and contributed to the UN’s Earth Day album.
Screenwriter and filmmaker Sulagna Chatterjee, 29, has focused on bringing queer stories to Indian screens. She wrote Firsts, a mini-series about queer love, for Dice Media in 2020. Her work also includes writing for Netflix’s Feels Like Ishq and Jio Studio’s Code M. She is now completing a crowdfunded film Pehli Date, about two women on a first date, a project that has been five years in the making.
Also featured on the Forbes Asia 30 Under 30 list is 24-year-old Sakchi Jain, a financial educator and content creator on Instagram.
