Actor Huma Qureshi confessed that coming across her pictures everyday in newspapers isn’t good for her own mental health. The actor said that she has decided to “not indulge in negative self talk”.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, while speaking about the realisation she had in the previous year, the actor said that she has decided to “not indulge in negative self talk”.

“Sometimes, as women, we are very harsh on ourselves. The media can be harsh, but I feel more than the media, we can be very harsh on ourselves,” Qureshi mentioned.

Actors are often photographed outside airports, gyms or restaurants, which is contributing to the growing paparazzi culture in the nation.

Huma Qureshi On Mental Health:

The Badlapur actor expressed her feelings about the impact these photos have on her and stated that it affects her mental health.“Somebody will take a bad picture in a bad angle and then move on, but I will just keep looking at myself,” she said.

The 34-year-old actor, who doesn’t want to feel conscious about her looks everytime she steps out of her house, has decided to block that out from her “mind space”.“I don’t want to spoil my day with it, or get affected by the stuff like that,” she further explained.

On the work front, the trailer of Zack Snyder's film Army of the Dead featuring Huma Qureshi released on April 13. The highly-anticipated zombie-heist film will begin streaming on Netflix on May 21.

Speaking of her Hollywood debut project, she said, "Their planning was in great detail, particularly the action scenes and that’s what I enjoyed about shooting with the team. I am obsessed with nitty-gritty’s, and I like it when people are organised. Working with Zack and his team was great learning for me."

Back home, the actor will share the screen with Akshay Kumar in the upcoming spy thriller Bell Bottom. The other releases of the actor coming up are the Tamil film Valimai and the web series Maharani.
