Hostel Daze Season 3 Cast Interview

1. The &t=1s">trailer of Hostel Daze Season 3 is out, how has the feedback been so far?

Ahsaas Channa- It just hit me up, with the release of the show excitement, nervousness, and anxiety is kicking in. There is a lot of pressure, the audience gave so much love to the last two seasons, and wants that for this season too, in fact, want more.

2. What can we expect from season three and how it is different from the other two?

Luv Vispute- Season 3 depicts more amount of emotions, drama, love angle, and lot many surprises. It is going to be fun.

Ahsaas Channa- Every character has its own journey, for instance- Ayushi's character in her personal space is going through something. Chirag's character has something different to offer in every episode. So many elements are different from the last two seasons

3. Speaking of Ayushi's character, you are more groomed, what issue your character is trying to address?

Ayushi Gupta- Her issues are evident, she is in search of love in a sense. She wants to fit in. Every one of us wants to fit and for the same, we try different things. I mean every 2 or 3 years we try to re-invent ourselves, the same is with Nabomita. In the third season, it is a roller coaster ride. While things are happening, her core remains don't change, which in a way creates conflicts.

4. How much do you guys relate hostel daze with your own college life?

Nikhil Vijay- No I don't relate much as I never stayed in a hostel. But it eventually feels like I am living my college life. The third year of Hostel Daze feels like the real-life college days. We all have felt that middle-life crisis when the third year starts. The maturity starts kicking in. From the first season till now, I could see growth, which is similar to the growth seen in college. There is a difference, but the crux remains the same.

Utsav Sarkar- I have a lot of parallels with my character. My character and I, both average student, requires validation, somewhere searching for oneself. Also, I stayed in a hostel, with 35 people sleeping in a dormitory, which also has the same vibe. Plus, I gelled up so well with the entire cast it felt like hanging out with friends. It never felt like I am for the shooting thing, or there is a pressure of delivering something.

Ahsaas Channa- My school was the tricky part, but the entire credit goes to my mother, as she managed in a way that I don't have to miss school. I wanted the experience college life too, so got enrolled in college where attendance was not an issue. So I had both my career and college life managed.

5. You joined as Ankit for the third season, how was it?

Utsav Sarkar- I feel lucky, I know what show caters to and what calibre it has. Working with TVF has been a dream, it is like a bucket list and I already checked it.

6. You have explored many themes, and worked in many women-centric projects like girls' hostels, Sisters, over time, could you relate these characters with yourself?

Ahsaas Channa- Surely! Akanksha totally inclines with me, she is naughty, a bully, and righteous at the same time.

7. What do you think of roles written for women on OTT compared to films or Tv serials?

Ahsaas Channa- A lot has changed, everybody is evolving. Hostel Daze first season is primarily based on a boy's hostel but when you see as the story evolves through 2nd and 3rd seasons, women's stories in the show are explored too, they too have depth and are not used only for glamour. So today's content is delivering what women feel through respective shows. However, there is yet a lot to change.

8. Your character's comic timing is being appreciated a lot, people are crazy for Jhantoo's character....how do you feel about it?

Nikhil Vijay- It is very nice, but the name becomes awkward at times. Especially when people see you and call you by that name. Sometimes I myself reply using slang. But yes it feels nice. I never had this hope of receiving so much love.

 9. How fun it is to shoot with each other, do you all get literal vibes of hostel daze?

Utsav- It felt like I am the new admission, and trying to adapt, make friends and have fun.

Ayushi- It was fun, and a lot to learn from the co-actors, director, and writer. It is a space for collaboration.
