Hocus Pocus 2 Release Date Announced; Here's All You Need To Know

In the upcoming American fantasy comedy-horror film Hocus Pocus 2, which is being directed by Anne Fletcher, the beloved Halloween classic will finally receive the follow-up. A teaser trailer was recently made available after the release date was recently established. 

The renowned Sanderson sisters will once again be portrayed by Sarah Jessica Parker, Bette Midler, and Kathy Najimy in Hocus Pocus 2, which was first announced in May 2021. The "fabulously wicked sisters" are back in this Disney Plus exclusive sequel to the first movie, 29 years after Max brought them back to life in the 1993 original.

Hocus Pocus 2 Release Date

As Winifred, Sarah, and Mary Sanderson, the original trio of evil witches that so many audiences enjoyed in the first movie, Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy will return to those roles.

The cast also includes Tony Hale, Sam Richardson, Juju Brener, Froyan Gutierrez, Taylor Paige Henderson, and Nina Kitchen, an Emmy Award-winning performer who plays Ted Lasso. The original Dani Dennison part is not being played by Thora Birch again.

According to reports, Step Up's Anne Fletcher is at the helm of the Hocus Pocus sequel. When the movie was publicised, she said: "I am beyond thrilled to be involved in the sequel to a film that is as beloved as Hocus Pocus.

In terms of the storyline, Hocus Pocus 2 takes place in modern-day Salem, 29 years after Max unintentionally brought the Sanderson sisters back to life by lighting the Black Flame Candle, and they are now seeking retribution for their execution. 

High school students Becca, Cassie, and Izzy are entrusted with stopping the ravaging witches' plans before midnight on Halloween because the witches are back and threatening to wreak a whole new type of havoc on the community.

On June 28, Disney released the Hocus Pocus 2 teaser ">trailer. Becca and Izzy are seen igniting a Black Flame Candle to free the Sanderson sisters from yet another night of mayhem. Disney Plus will begin streaming Hocus Pocus 2 on Friday, September 30 this year.
