Nikkhil Advani, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Nitya Mehra , Raj & DK and Avinash Arun Dhaware put forth their stories in the earlier film. Unpaused  showcased stories of human existence in the time of the novel coronavirus. Ratna Pathak Shah who acted in the story Chaand Mubarak said about her role, “It’s true that the difficulties of the pandemic have not yet passed. We are still dealing with various levels of unemployment. It doesn’t look easy even in the next year. But at the moment, I did want to hear a story that made us feel good.”

There are sequences in the film where one can hear the chants of ‘Go Corona Go’ and mass banging of utensils. For anybody who has lived in this country during the lockdown period, these are the two most recognizable sounds that define the pandemic. Such points of references are innumerably scattered throughout the film. As the country grapples with a third wave it will be interesting to see what the part two will bring for us. You can read the review of the film here.

Prime members in India and across 240 countries and territories can stream Unpaused: Naya Safar on 21st January 2022.
