Annabelle Sethupathi marks Taapsee Pannu's return to Tamil cinema after almost two years. It stars Vijay Sethupathi, Yogi Babu, Radikaa Sarathkumar and Rajendra Prasad in prominent roles. The film will release on September 17 on OTT. It will be available in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. As per the official synopsis, the film will take the viewers on a hilarious adventure when a woman enters a mysterious royal palace with a spooky history.
A week after the official trailer release of the movie the first song was also dropped on social media. The 3.39 minutes song 'Vaanil Pogum Megam' has playback by Chinmayi Sripada and Armaan Mallik. You can listen to the song ">here:
Shot in and around the Pink city, Jaipur, Annabelle Sethupathi tells the story of ghosts and humans who come together by an accident. Vijay Sethupathi plays the role of Raja Rathod as per the trailer of the film. Rathod falls in love with Annabelle Sethupathi played by Taapsee Pannu. He then builds a palace for his lady love. Sethupathi is a well-known Tamil actor and producer.
Pannu also plays a second role of a woman who wants to rob the palace built for Annabelle. The film is helmed by Deepak Sundarajan and produced by Sudhan Sundaram and G Jayaram.
Pannu was recently in news for her maiden production, Blurr. The actress has completed the shoot for the film shared a picture of filming the final shot on social media. Blurr is directed by Ajay Bahl. It is co-written by Pawan Sony along with the director and is supposed to be a psychological thriller. Rashmi Rocket, Shabaash Mithu and Looop Lapeta are the other films lined up for the Pink actor.
The film will have a direct on OTT release on 17th September on Disney Plus Hotstar.
