Heads of State Trailer, John Cena & Priyanka Chopra Starrer To Release This July
Directed by Ilya Naishuller, Heads of State is set in a high-stakes world of global politics and follows two powerful leaders: the US President Will Derringer (played by John Cena) and the UK Prime Minister Sam Clarke (played by Idris Elba). Known for their heated and very public rivalry, the two leaders find themselves in a crisis that forces them to team up.
As the official synopsis explains, "The UK Prime Minister Sam Clarke (Idris Elba) and US President Will Derringer (John Cena) have a not-so-friendly and very public rivalry that jeopardises their countries’ 'special relationship'."
The plot thickens when a dangerous enemy targets them both, putting their countries and the world, at risk. “But when they become the targets of a powerful and ruthless foreign adversary, who proves more than a match for the two leaders’ security forces, they are begrudgingly forced to rely on the only two people they can trust: each other.”
Joining them on this mission is MI6 agent Noel Bisset, played by Priyanka Chopra Jonas. With her character in the mix, the trio must figure out a way to work together and stop the deadly conspiracy. As the synopsis adds, “Ultimately allied with the brilliant MI6 agent Noel Bisset (Priyanka Chopra Jonas), they must go on the run and find a way to work together long enough to thwart a global conspiracy that threatens the entire free world.”
The film also features a strong supporting cast, including Carla Gugino, Jack Quaid, Stephen Root, Sarah Niles, Richard Coyle, and Paddy Considine.
