The reunion will star household names, from the popular sitcom, namely Matthew Perry, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc. They will all be returning to Friends' original soundstage, Stage 24, on the Warner Bros. Studio lot in Burbank.

Ben Winston will be directing the Friends reunion, while the actors will produce the show, along with Kevin Bright, Marta Kauffman and David Crane— the creators of Friends.

David Schwimmer had teased about Friends reunion

Earlier, actor David Schwimmer had teased about a Friends reunion. He had revealed that he would be returning with his former co-stars for the reunion in Los Angeles this month. "I’m going to LA to shoot the 'Friends' reunion."

On the chat show with host Graham Norton, Schwimmer revealed that he will meet the cast of Friends for the first time after years.

He also revealed that he will be appearing as himself, and not his character Ross Gellar in the reunion. "I’ll be David," he said.

"We are all ourselves, although there is one section of it that I don’t want to give away, but we all read something.” He added that it was difficult for him to go over the numerous episodes of the sitcom again.

"I guess I need to watch a lot over the next five days!" he said.

Actor Jennifer Aniston had earlier stressed the fact that the reunion would be an 'exciting one'. Like many other projects, the show got delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. “Unfortunately it’s very sad that we had to move it again. " She said that the main concern of the makers was how to run a show with a live audience during a pandemic.

"This is not a safe time. Period. That’s the bottom line. It’s not a safe time to do it," she had said while speaking to Deadline.
