Claiming that she's taking a break, the Bodyguard actor said it is a step to detox herself from digital platforms. She reasoned that she "needs some time apart to remember how to live as an individual rather than being completely dependent on each other." She asked her fans not to be bothered much because she'll be back on social but not anytime soon.

Keech, who is married to cricketer Yuvraj Singh, asked her fans to wish her "luck in the real world." Her post reads: "My phone and I are going on a break. I know this will come as a shock to most of you but it's ok. Sometimes we need this time apart to remember how to live as an individual rather than being completely dependent on each other. And so, I will be going off social media for a while. Wish me luck in the real world. If you have my number, call me rather than messaging. I will be back, not too soon." Back in 2019, she underwent nose surgery and had stayed away from social media for a brief period.

Hazel, who played Kareena Kapoor Khan’s friend in Salman Khan-starrer Bodyguard, had earlier opened up about battling depression at a young age. "I was battling depression, starving myself, had bulimia, dyed my hair dark and kept it long trying to fit in a please everyone around me but hiding all the pain with a smile and joke so no one knew. Today, i can confidently talk about what I’ve gone through, i dont care what others think of me, i finally had the courage to cut my hair, i dont try and fit in anymore and i am happier, healthier and more at peace with myself than i ever imagined i could be! (sic),” she had shared two years back.

Same year, she played the lead role in the play Euripedes’ Medea, which marked the directorial debut of Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan. She recently revealed that after the film Bodyguard, she worked as an associate producer on an international project and studied Improv Comedy and performed with a group. She also shared that she is now graduated as a Regression Therapist.

Singh and Keech tied the knot in November 2016.
