Model Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu is Miss Diva Universe 2021 and Miss Universe 2021. The beauty pageant winner is set to make her film debut in the Punjabi film Bai Ji Kuttange.
Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu hails from the village of Kohali in the Gurdaspur district of Punjab. Sandhu, her mother Rabinder Kaur Sandhu, and her brother did not inform her father Pritampal Singh Sandhu when she participated in her first pageant. After Sandhu won the pageant, she informed her father about her interests.
Sandhu’s father said, “I immediately my daughter that there was no need to hide her interests. Times have changed and she must do what she is good at.”
Sandhu began competing as a teenager and the first beauty pageant she participated in was the Times Fresh Face. She won the title and proceeded to win several beauty pageants. She has also won the titles of Miss Chandigarh 2017 and Miss Max Emerging Star India 2018. She later won Femina Miss India Punjab 2019 and was placed as a semifinalist at Femina Miss India 2019.
Sandhu dedicated her win to India and said, "It has never been my journey, it has been our journey." She expressed her gratitude to the panellists and designers and ended her note by saying, "India, this one is for you."
Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu Film Debut
The ">trailer for Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu’s film debut Bai Ji Kuttange was released on August 1. The film is set to debut on August 19. The romantic comedy Bai Ji Kuttange is directed by Smeep Kang, produced by Nirupma and Hadelin De Ponteves and written by Vaibhav Suman and Pali Bhupinder.
Bai Ji Kuttange stars Sandhu alongside actors Dev Kharoud, Nanak Singh, Upasana Singh, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Simrat Kaur Randhawa, Hobby Dhaliwal and Sabby Suri.
The romantic comedy revolves around the titular character Bai Ji and his younger brother. The plot is focused on the relationship between the brothers after the main character Bai Ji learns that his brother is romantically involved with a girl working for Bai Ji.
