Parineeti Chopra's latest movie The Girl On The Train  released today and the reactions are already in. Released on the OTT platform Netflix, this is the actor's first ever psychological thriller, based on the Hollywood movie of the same name starring Emily Blunt.

The 32-year old lead actor has received praise from the netizens as well as the critics for the portrayal of her character. Many are calling her portrayal as powerful and captivating.

Just saw on @netflix #TheGirlOnTheTrain it's a breath of fresh air to see @ParineetiChopra she is truly a treat to watch...the rest of the cast does their job perfectly.Overall this movie had potential, i do agree it does fall flat at certain bits but cast saves the day!!!

1. Parineeti Chopra was an academically brilliant student. In her Class 12 board exams, she was an all-India topper and was even felicitated by the then-President Patibha Patil for the achievement.
2. She pursued a triple honours degree in Finance, Business and Economics from Manchester Business School. Earlier, she aimed to be an investment banker and even worked at a bank for a short while.
3. However, she reportedly lost her job due to economic recession and came back to India. She joined Yash Raj Films as a marketing and PR consultant in 2009.
4. Just like her cousin Priyanka Chopra, she is also a trained singer and has B.A honours degree in music as well.
5. Her flair for singing was reflected when she sang Maana Ke Hum Yaar Nahin in Meri Pyaari Bindu, which became a chartbuster. Moreover, she has also sung a song for The Girl On The Train.
6. In an interview with Neha Dhupia, Parineeti revealed that she worked as Rani Mukerji's personal assistant for a day. Furthermore, she added how the actor motivated her to try her hand in acting, as Rani believed that Parineeti had what it takes to be an actor.
