Freddy Birdy Hails Kangana Ranaut's Comment On Deepika Controversy

Freddy Birdy supports Kangana Ranaut as she refused to speak on the ongoing controversy between him and actor Deepika Padukone. The actor is all set for the release of her film Gehraiyaan. Freddy recently made some sexist comments on Deepika's clothes which got him under fire on social media.

Even though Deepika Padukone gave a fitting reply to his 'joke', the influencer seems to not take the hint and shut up. In reply of Deepika's comeback, he came with a clarification and as if it was not enough, he is still thinking of more provocations. Freddy Birdy supports Kangana Ranaut who denied to give statement and slammed the reporters for asking questions related to Deepika at a press event.

The incident happened during the launch event of Lock Upp, Ekta Kapoor's OTT reality show on Thursday February 3. Actor Kangana Ranaut was also a part of the event as she will be the host of the show. Among many questions that were being asked, one of the reporters stood up and asked Kangana what she thinks about Freddy Birdy's comment on Deepika's clothes during Gehraiyaan promotions. To this, Kangana refused to say anything in the matter.

Kangana said that she was there to defend those who can't defend themselves and Deepika is capable of doing that. She also said that she did not want to promote Deepika's film. "Look, I am here to defend those who can’t defend themselves. Alright? She can defend herself. She has the privilege of the platform and I can’t promote her film here. Sit down," she said. Kangana alleged that the reporters who asked this questions were sent by the PR's of Gehraiyaan.

After this incident, on Friday, i.e., February 4, we see that Freddy Birdy supports Kangana Ranaut's comment she made at the event. He took to his Instagram story and shared the said video of Kangana's comment with the caption "@kanganaranaut saying exactly what I want to say, but more eloquently."

A few days ago, Freddy Birdy commented on social media in a now deleted post that Deepika's clothes will continue to get tinier as Gehraiyaan release date approaches. The sexist comment of the social media influencer was criticised my most users. Deepika called him a 'moron' for his views after which the influencer said that it was the only 'non-fake' thing Deepika said in her career.
