Amruta Khanvilkar is an Indian actor who works predominantly in Hindi and Marathi-language films. The actor was born into a Marathi family and married actor Himanshu A. Malhotra in 2015. Khanvilkar is popularly known for Ishq Bector's song Aye Hip Hopper, Wajle Ki Bara from Marathi film Natarang and Hindi film Himmatwala's item song Dhoka Dhoka. Amruta Khanvilkar won Nach Baliye season 7 with her husband and was also a participant in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 10 in which she was eliminated in the fifth week.

Chandramukhi is based on Vishwas Patil's book by the same name. It follows the story of a politician who falls in love with a Lavani dancer.

Well Done Baby

Well Done Baby is a 2021 Marathi-drama film which released on Amazon Prime Video directly as an OTT release on April 9, 2021. The film follows the story of a modern young couple who must rearrange their lives when fate brings in a baby. The couple also struggles to find purpose of their relationship while also dealing with the new addition in their lives. The film features Pushkar Jog as Aditya and Amruta Khanvilkar as Meera along with Rahul Awasthi, Vandana Gupte, Radhika Ingle, Sonali Khare among others.

Raazi

Amruta Khanvilkar also plays a short role in Meghna Gulzar's Raazi starring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. Khanvilkar plays the role of Bhatt's sister-in-law Munira who is married to Mehboob Syed (Ashwath Bhatt). The film narrates the story of Sehmat Khan Syed who is an Indian spy sent to Pakistan by Indian external intelligence agency RAW to infiltrate the plans made by Pakistan to attack INS Vikrant. The film was a big hit at the box office amassing many awards and accolades.

Malang

2020 Hindi crime-drama thriller Malang include actors Disha Patani, Aditya Roy Kapur, Elli AvrRam, Anil Kapoor and Kunal Khemu in the lead roles. The film follows the story of Advait who is bent to take revenge from the perpetrators who raped and killed the love of his life, Sara. However, there is a great suspense which is unveiled in the story later on. Amruta Khanvilkar is seen in the short role of Teresa Rodrigues, girlfriend of Michael Rodrigues (Khemu). The film was released on February 7, 2020.

Katyar Kaljat Ghusali

2015 Marathi epic musical drama film Katyar Kaljat Ghusali is based on a play by the same name written by Purushottam Darvhekar. The film is directed by Subodh Bhave and stars Sachin Pilgaonkar, Shankar Mahadevan, and Subodh Bhave in pivotal roles. Actor Amruta Khanvilkar plays the role of Zareena in the film as Khansaheb Aftab Hussain Bareliwale's (Sachin Pilgaonkar) daughter. The film received positive reviews from the critics and was also screen at the International Film Festival of India.
